How your information is protected
Planning an opening means sharing real details. Here is exactly how ClearBuild handles them, in plain words. Everything on this page describes how ClearBuild works today.

What you enter behind your login comes back only to your login. Other members, other brands, realtors, contractors and partners can't open it.
Pooled numbers never point to one brand
When entries help improve ClearBuild, they are combined without names. A combined figure appears only when at least 3 different projects or people sit behind it. Anything smaller is held back.
You decide whether you help
Helping improve ClearBuild is switched on when you join, and you can switch it off in your workspace settings at any time. Off means off everywhere, including for entries you made before.
Each brand's FDD stays with that brand
Every FDD on ClearBuild is filed under one brand and is never mixed with another. A brand's fees, royalties, investment range and menu-price position are shown one brand at a time, to someone looking at that brand.
No one can browse other brands
There is no public list of brands' FDDs or prices to scroll through. Each person opens a small number of brands: a visitor without an account 1, a franchisor account only its own brand, a franchisee 3 and a franchise broker 5, every 30 days. A franchisor account can't open a competitor's file.
Updates go through review
Send a correction or a newer FDD from the FDD page. Nothing goes live until it has been reviewed, and earlier versions are kept and labeled as earlier. A PDF you attach is stored privately and opened only by the reviewer, through a link that expires.
The engine stays on our servers
ClearBuild's scoring and datasets run on its own servers. Pages show the results, not the method behind them.
Contact only when you ask
ClearBuild passes on your contact details only when you tick a box asking for help and agree to be contacted. Your personal information is never sold.
Leave whenever you like
You can delete your account yourself, at any time. Your sign-in, profile, saved details, name and email are removed.

Your entries work for your brand
Site criteria you save in a franchisor workspace shape your own growth view. They are not shown to other brands.
Share more only if it helps you
Every extra detail is optional, and you can add it whenever it's useful to you.
